背景：イオシスはダロキン共和国の貧しい農村で生まれました。口減らしのため村を出て、丁度人員募集をしていた傭兵団に募集に応じて加入しました。傭兵団で戦闘訓練を受け、訓練終了時に隊長から「クリーク」という姓を授けられます。隊長から「信用される行動をし、信用できる人物と付き合うのが賢明」と教えられ、それを実行しています。
傭兵団が解散すると、イオシスは交易の護衛としてアルハイム市にやってきました。交易者がそこで長期滞在することになったため帰るタイミングを逸し、そのままアルハイムに居つくことになりました。
